The Psalms are rich in blessing! Based on the King James translation, here are 12 settings of varied styles, presented here in Biblical order. Note: “Song of the Law” takes seven sections from Psalm 119. These are appropriate as separate solos, but also can be recognized as a song cycle. “Without [my soloist] Joan Welles’ enthusiasm and encouragement, these solos might never have been written, and surely would not have been made available. May the beauty of the scriptural passages be served by the music, to lift and inspire the hearts of performers and listeners alike.” (Quoted from the introductory material)
