Description
A CD of 16 sacred solos, sung by soprano Megan Beltran, the accompaniment played by Margaret Kemper. The voice is superlative, the accompaniment played perfectly, with the full beauty and variety possible on a fine pipe organ.
Each piece demonstrates the inspiration of a text written to share the blessings of God’s love, set to an accompaniment written for it, with musical harmonies ranging from familiar styles (“It matters not what be thy lot” – the poem, “Satisfied” by Mary Baker Eddy) to new and freshly contemporary style (“And I saw a new heaven” – Bible verses taken from Revelation 21, KJV).
16 Solo settings by Adrienne Tindall, setting 16 Texts
